Welcome to Trailwood Farms

Trailwood Farms is a quiet family-owned boarding facility that values superior care for our equine partners. Considerable time and thought went into the design and construction of the facility to service both our riders and horses of all disciplines. Trailwood Farms is offering the unique opportunity for an individual with similar values to lease out our on-site 8 stall barn with the shared use of our facility. This opportunity is well suited for a dedicated person to operate a small lesson, training, or breeding program.

About the Facility

Barn Features

Features included in the barn lease

8 Stalls

Stalls range from 10x12 to 12x17 each equipped with a stall light, window, front mat, corner feeder, and water bucket holders.

Feed Room

The barn includes a large feed room for the storage of all your personalized equine nutritional products.

Tack Room

Inside the barn is a spacious tack room with 8 tack lockers and additional open storage.

3 Grooming Areas

The barn has wide isle ways and closable stall windows allowing horses to be tacked up with minimal interference from neighboring horses.

Outdoor & Indoor Wash Rack

The wash racks are centrally located with a temperature controlled water supply and heating system for all-season use.

Paddocks

The barn lease includes sole access to two dry and one grass paddock in addition to optional shared use of a large grass field. Paddocks include troughs and water/electric hook up.

Hay Loft

Above the barn is a large loft with ladder access through the feed room for the storage of hay and/or bagged shavings.

Garbage & Manure Removal

Included in the lease are frequent garbage and manure removal. For manure to be removed it must be shavings as opposed to straw.

Utilities

Water and Hydro is included in the lease fee. All electrical work has been recently replaced with BX cable.

Barn Fan

Included in the lease is one large industrial fan to be used inside the barn during the summer months.

Feed Delivery

There is the option to receive biweekly grain deliveries from Sharps.

Carrot/Apple Service

There is the option to receive weekly carrot/apple deliveries when in season.

Indoor Arena

Large 220 x 70 regularly harrowed dust-free indoor riding arena with polytrack footing. The arena is naturally bright and well lit with several large garage doors for desired air flow.

Outdoor Arena

Large 185 x 180 three-board oak enclosed outdoor riding arena that has regularly harrowed dust-free polytrack footing with fast drainage.

Jumps

Full course of Hunter & Jumper obstacles are available in the indoor and outdoor arena's depending on the season.

Gallop Track

3/4 mile polytrack footing gallop track is located in one of the large daily turn-out paddocks and is available for use only when horses have been turned in.

EquiCizer

An enclosed free tie EquiCizer is available to increase fitness or to recover from an injury.

Washroom

The facility has a regularly maintained heated washroom with running water.
